I have a half-sister who is a year younger then me, with a common father We both lived very far away from each other, so until recently we never really knew each other other than the odd meeting here and there because we were busy with our own lives.
We ended going up to the same college, and during her freshmen year we got to know each other really well. We instantly became best friends and began spending alot of platonic time together. Nothing happened, but I felt that there was a sexual tension between us that we both just didn't talk about. We have similar personalities that is quiet and introverted, yet we're both conventionally attractive(although we each look like our mothers, so we look nothing like each other, most people can't believe we're related) so it was natural that we'd like spending time with each other.

I felt conflicted that first years because I want to hangout with her all the time, but I was constantly asking myself if it was legitimate sibling bonding or something more. We're both only children so the idea of having a close sibling was, at its face, intriguing for both of us. The attraction gave me more incentive to bond with her, but I would never actually do anything, or so I told myself.
After her freshmen year she moved into my apartment. I was kinda against it, because I hated the idea of seeing her come home with guys and hearing her screw around with them in her room would probably drive me crazy, both from a protective brother standpoint and just from pure jealousy.

She really wanted too though, she hated her random roommate she had gotten her freshmen year, and we had become good friends so I had no reason to say no. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom so the arrangement on the surface seemed like it would allow to stay out of each others space.

Fast forward to her moving in her sophomore year, it was awesome having her around all the times but I could tell we were probably going to get too close. Slowly I felt like we had more and more moments of where our cohabitation went like it was slipping from platonic to romantic. Flirting started creeping into our conversations more and more along with meaningful eye contact.

Once it started getting really cold out and we started staying in on the weekends is when things started getting obviously sexual. We'd usually have a little to drinking and watch a movie, eventually we started cuddling together while watching the movies, and then eventually one night we couldn't pretend we were just trying keep warm and we started making out.

After that all pretense was gone, we talked ourselves into saying we were just having fun and it wasn't a big deal since we didn't grow up together. The thing that kinda made me feel bad though wasn't just the sexual part of the realtionship, it was the romantic part of it. We've become extremely emotionally attached to each other and one day we're going to have to break this off to date other people and I don't think we'll handle it too well.

hiya welcome to the forum, and thank you for sharing your story; there is a dedicated thread for that if you ever desire to repost in detail, or to read the experiences of others (which may give some insight).
That you feel you might have to break it off someday is probably worth talking about, though since this is mostly for introductions... well, it's at your discretion.
in any case, welcome again!
