Hello! My name is Alex. I've spent years  searching for a place to connect with others that understand the bittersweet nature of being in a relationship with a member of one's family.  While I have had some notable success that has lead to the development of some amazing friendships, most of what I've found is disbelief, scorn, or being treated like I'm just there to satisfy the fantasies of those that have "incest fetishes".

My lifestyle is more than some kinky abstraction. My relationship is real, not some sort of pornography script. It has all the uninteresting drama of any relationship, with the added fact of having been forced to create an entire code of behavior in order to both pursue our dreams together while keeping everything about us hidden.

I suppose I should come out and clarify who exactly I'm in this relationship with, it's become difficult for me to even admit it after years of practiced denial. My son and I live together as a couple. Our relationship began well before that, but had not developed into what it is now for most of the time we've been intimate with each other.

I'll stop rambling, I just wanted to say that I'm so glad I found the marriage equality blog and was advised to join this forum. I'm looking forward to finding what it has to offer.

Welcome Alex, you're not alone in finding the incest fetish crowd tiresome, they really do make it hard for people who are in real relationships who just want to talk to others in similar situations. Actually that's a good part of why this forum exists, so I'm pretty sure you're going to like it here
