Hello,

38 year old male living in the US. At the moment, I can best be described as an ally; however, experiences do exist in my past. My half-sister and I shared in a brief relationship after high school. My sister was 18 at the time, I was 3 years older. Our time did not last long as sis moved away for college, got married, and had children. I have also done the same.

While not actively engaged in a relationship with a family member, I support those who are, given that all persons involved are of consensual age and are able to represent themselves. The freedom to explore ones sexuality, develop meaningful relationships, and engage in happiness should only be limited by actions and behaviors that go against the most basic rights of humanity; otherwise, leave people to make their own decisions.

Hello, my name is Steve, in my 50s, and although I'm not involved with a family member, I believe that consenting adults should be free to love and be with who they wish. While I believe that every relationship carries a certain amount of risk, it should be up to the participants to assess and accept or reject that risk... Not some faceless 'Society'. As a black man, I remember that in the US, interracial relationships were illegal in my lifetime, and now no one gives it a second glance. That's the future I hope for the consanguinuous.

You’re right. There used to be “anti-miscegnation” laws against interracial marriages in the US. And the present laws against consanguinamory are usually justified in the same way.
