I do detect a certain theme here, CJ. Smile

This one is for me, Antinym, and all the rest of us has-beens and never-wases. Humph. Smile

Shoot if it makes you feel good.

Second in the series. Why does every single little tiny thing I hold on goes wrong?

And I say humph.

Third in the heartbreak trilogy. And I think it's going to hurt me for a long, long time.

Re: What are you listening to now?

remembering a time from when i was in iraq.  the first time i had ever heard of christina perri was when iwas in baghdad, when my squads other team leader started playing and singing jar of hearts.  on my next trip to the MWR, i looked her up and was stunned by the song "Arms".  it was like aki (LittleBit, my wife) had written it.  i had never heard a song that so aptly described the way she was with me.  constantly afraid to get close to me, but desperately needing me to break down her walls.  she did everything she could to push me away, until she knew that i wasn't going to abandon her.

apparently it resonated with her too.  she still cries when she hears it.

This was ALWAYS playing on the elevator-music station my parents used to keep on. Wasn't a fan. Smile

Best,

That is a down side to that piece. It tends to get overplayed on easy listening stations. And elevators.

A beautiful piece of music composed by Allister Brimble. I absolutely love his work, and I've yet to find any of his video game compositions that I don't love. He did the tunes to most of the incarnations of the Dizzy series. Somehow he keeps the tunes very busy and lively, but at the same time not seeming to be too much, the music draws you in and is a real treat to the ears. This is quite a typical piece for the composer, and if I ever got to meet him, I'd seriously buy him a pint (or three) for the hours of joy I got from listening to his music Smile

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell
Blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?
