My Introduction

Just starting my intro topic.

I am 22F, experience with only two cousins at a reunion a couple of years ago at 20. Coming here with my limited experience as an earnest ally hoping yo experience more. Desperately trying to work up the courage to tell my father how I feel about him. We were estranged with no contact for much of my childhood but now our relationship is so... warm, affectionate now that I am grown up. I'm hoping to turn it into something real, not just flirtation. That's all!

Thank you kindly for the warm welcome. I am so glad to be among like minded individuals and I'm intrigued to learn of your relationship with your mother!

As for my situation, my parents split when I was quite young. I didn't know my father and met him in my late teens (freshly 18, as a matter of fact), as he asked my mom if I would be open to him attending my graduation. Over the years, we have built a bond that is very different from that which I have seen in my life, such as my friend's relationships with their own fathers. There has been many kinds of intimacy expressed and brief, limited sexual contact over time. We talk all the time. He's already more like my partner in many ways, so I'm really looking forward to seeing some insight as to maybe approach bridging that gap or starting that convo. Reading around so far has been fascinating and very validating for me!

I posted in a different section of the forum our exact situation. However, to answer your question, there is a lot of flirting as well as idk... deep intimacy. Limited sexual contact. Seems more romantic than sexual at the current point in time and I'd like to sort of bring those two ends together.
