SITE RULES... PLEASE READ BEFORE JOINING

Welcome to the brand new re-vamp of KINDRED SPIRITS. I apologize to everyone for the fact that the forum is in French, but it was the only one I could find with servers in France... thank you Stefan who e-mailed me the link to this forum provider. Better a French forum than none at all! This at least, will serve us until we find a better alternative. Anyone who was an admin or mod on the old KS, I will upgrade when they join.

For any newbies, this is a support forum for people involved with family members. It is not a place for trading dirty stories and pics, there are plenty of other websites out there for you if that's what you want. This forum is for people who are or who were involved with a family member, and for their allies, if none of these applies to you, then this forum isn't for you, you might be better off joining Reddit.

There are a few ground rules here:

1. No pornography or links to it.
2. No dirty stories please, this place must be kept clean.
3. No spamming.
4. No hacks/warez/mining or phishing software allowed on the forums, or links to such things.
5. Absolutely no discussion of sex between adults and persons under 18 is allowed, there will be no warnings and it will incur an automatic ban.
6. No harassing other members or asking for personal details or 'pics', that includes by PM.
7. You must post your introduction before being upgraded to view and post in the main forums.
8. It goes without saying, but you absolutely MUST be over the age of 18 to join. Any posters found to be underage will be BANNED.
9. All of the above rules also apply to the chatbox at the bottom of the website.
10. No sexually suggestive or explicit usernames will be tolerated.
11. Only ONE account per person is permitted. If two people will be using the same IP address under different accounts, that is okay providing that you tell us in your introductions so that we know about it. This rule is to prevent trolling, and making sure that we don't accidentally ban legitimate users who share an IP address.
12. We will permit no posts which appear to justify anything which would be considered the grooming of minors, so no so-called 'grey area' posts please, we take the welfare of children and young people seriously. If you have to ask the question 'is it okay to post this?', the chances are it's inappropriate and it shouldn't be here.
13. We will permit no posts about off-topic and unjustifiable sexual acts, such as bestiality, necrophilia or other harmful and immoral acts where informed consent is rendered impossible.

It sounds to me like you've found the right place. If you like you can post your story in the introductions forum, nobody here will be judgmental because most of us are either in, or have been in these relationships. It's important for people to have a safe space to talk, and this is the place for it. Welcome aboard

There is not introductions forum Jane. Not one that is visible any way.

There should be... in the 'main forums' part of the website. I've posted in there myself with a link to my website. If you still can't see where I mean, let me know, because it is weird if some people still can't see all parts of the website if they are logged in. The main forums are only invisible if you are logged out... but you are logged in if you're posting so I am confused as to why you cannot see that forum. It doesn't help with it all being in French, but I will get it sorted if people aren't able to see the forums in order to participate.

I can't speak for everyone else.
All I see, logged in or not, are the Announcement, Admin and Suggestions forums.

Give Jane a bit time. For an Administrator there are a lot of things to configure here.

I've moved all of the forums around... I had to delete them and then re-add them without there being a seperate section for them. A bit of a pain but hopefully you can see them now, because if you couldn't the others may have been unable to do so. Please all non-admins let me know... are you now able to see ALL of the forums? There should be 12 in total. Also if you have any suggestions for new forums you would like to see, post your suggestion in the suggestions forum.

Sorry about the difficulties, it's because it's hard to tell what's what when all of the options are in French.

Apologies also to FullMarriageEquality, his post in Introductions will have to be remade, as it got deleted as well as the forums when I changed it all around.

In your profile you can change the language of your user account. The administration panel should be in English too. Nevertheless the forum works great now and you did a good job.

Just so everyone knows, I am using chrome and nothing on any of the pages is in french. I think the browser is translating it for me, so if it becomes annoying maybe switch to chrome.

She don't have to use chrome.

1. Go to 'Profile' on top of the page
2. Click 'Préférences'
3. Scroll down to 'Langue du Forum' and choose 'English'
4. Click 'Enregistrer'.
