I consider myself a ally of those in the GSA and incest communities, as I believe consensual relationships, in whatever form they take, should be understood and encouraged rather than castigated and punished. Also, like many men, I have had feelings involving family members that "normal" society might identify as taboo, but accordingly, have not acted upon those feelings. While many parts of popular culture have gained some level of appreciation and even legal recognition that loving a person of the same gender should not be the subject of ridicule or legal liability, with continued efforts to increase awareness, I look forward to similar progress helping everyone to understand that the true nature of intimacy and love transcends the constraints of not only gender but consanguinity.
