Introduction
Mon 15 Jun 2020 - 14:52
Hello,
I’m 49 and have had only limited actual family experience with a couple cousins, but the reason I’m here is questions/feelings about my mother. We have never had a physically sexual relationship but I’m very certain she wanted, or wants, one with me. At this point in my life it’s not possible and feel like her jealousy has caused a serious rift between us. Please let me know if this too off topic
Thanks.

Welcome.
I don't think it's off topic ..., but it's not for me to judge. From how you wrote the situation in your introduction, I can guess (maybe I'm wrong), that in any case the relationship with your mother has not evolved at that time , because perhaps , after all, you were the one who "didn't proceed forward", in some way you will have stopped the situation, or you will have gone away, or you simply did not want ...
This is the past... you can't come back.
What you can do today, given that you are now mature and adult, is to try to recover in some way that rift created long time ago, and, at least, to recover a normal mother-son relationship (it is still important, it is a piece of you, of the your family); and it will have to be you, because she being certainly older, will not change ...
Good luck

Hi, Cheerful Cynic,
Welcome to Kindred Spirits. I’ve upgraded your account.
I hope we can help you find clarity about your feelings for your mother. You’re clearly consanguinamorous to some degree, and we’re here to accept and help our fellow consangs in whatever way we can.
Please let us know more about yourself and your situation in Your Story or Non-GSA and we’ll take it from there.
Stay safe,
UN
