Introduction

Hello everyone, just found this site and looking for help understanding my situation. 48 years old, raised by a still single mother now 72 (dad never in the picture). Never anything sexual between us but I have struggled dating women and regularly think about what it might be like to be in a deeper relationship with her. Thinking that it might because she is the only person I have ever really trusted and I want that feeling to be intimate with a person. At this point, I'm still too nervous to discuss anything further with her directly due to the risks but would like to understand others in the hopes that it might bring clarity for me on what to do.
