Introduction

I'm not sure what I should say, here. My circumstances are not happy ones.

I'm a 34-year-old, single, closeted gay man who lives in an extremely "red" state in the US. I have older brothers who I'm not close with and who I've never disclosed my sexuality to, because they're violently homophobic. The possibility of a consang relationship is clearly as non-existent as it is currently unwanted, however I've been sexually attracted to them ever since I became aware that I am gay. I'm very open to the idea of sex possibly being the bridge to a better, more honest, more substantial relationship between us, but I don't hold out much hope. I'm extremely happy for those who have so much love for their relatives that it grows into something more. I think that's beautiful and very much wish that I could be one of those people, one day.

I don't know where that lands me on the Ally vs Consang continuum, but that's the gist of it.

If you are interested in a consang relationship with your brothers, I'd say you are consang.

I have recognized I'm polyamorous and my very conservative wife says how can you be poly if you have never had poly girlfriend? I said I just need to recognize my awareness and interest to be poly.
