Hello! I'm a 42 year old female that is in a loving relationship with my older brother that I met for the first time last year. I'm so grateful that this forum exists. It was one of the first sites I found when I realized I was falling in love with my brother and was grappling with the fear of having what I felt at the time, were inappropriate feelings. I quickly discovered what GSA was and that most importantly, I wasn't alone and my feelings were perfectly normal.

FullMarriageEquality, I'm assuming you run site with the same name. Yours was the first site I came across that made me feel a little less hopeless. I believe I found Kindred Spirits through the Full Marriage Equality site if I remember correctly.

You absolutely have! The first forum I found was very much against GSA relationships. Completely biased. I felt like there probably were some happily ever after stories out there but I clearly wasn't going to find them on that page. Then I somehow managed to happen upon your page and I was so relieved to read the stories of couples that have been together long term and were very happy despite all of the challenges.

We have some reunion GSA couples here who have worked things out happily, but we also have quite a few who have very serious problems. I’m glad things have worked out well for you.

Most relationships of ANY sort, including heterosexual, monogamous, non-consang, have problems and don’t last until death. If you have a good relationship, of whatever type, it’s a great thing.

Welcome aboard. To be redundant, yes, you're totally normal! I've heard this from other GSA people as well, that there isn't acceptance on some other forums. I find that sad that so many people have been made to feel uncomfortable and guilty about this instead of being supported and understood. You're in good company here
