I'm signing. But one question:. Why is the acronym for "Consenting Incest-Oriented Adults" CIAO instead of CIOA?

WordSlinger, you gotta realize, Abe is the only one who’s using that acronym...

Hello,
UN is right. I am the only person who uses CIAO. I thought it would become the new 'in' word to refer to Consanguinamoury or consanguinamorous or consang, just as 'gay' became more popular than saying homosexual, homosexuals, or homo.
Initially ( pardon the pun) I played around with the 4 letters to try and find a word that would be a good acronym.
There are some rules to making acronyms, but i didn't know about them. Here are some:
"Acronyms: 3 Simple Rules for Making them Meaningful
The best acronyms spell out a word that is related to their cause, function or meaning, or one that elicits positive feelings or associations. ...
Even when the letters don't spell out a word with meaning related to the subject, it helps if what is spelled out feels like a word:
I thought that 'CIAO' ...was "one that elicits positive feelings or associations."
You are right to point out the discrepancy about CAIO.
I was thinking of using 'CIA', but decided that could get confused with the other one:-)
CAIO is also tricky to pronounce, at least it is for me.
UN and all the don't appear to like CIAO, but I stubbornly refuse to give it up, just to annoy them:-)
I think that in the right context, people will understand both CAIO or CIAO. There is a town in Wales called Caio.
Here is how it is pronounced. (Click the speaker button)

Anyway, I hope this helps. Sorry for rambling a little. Thank you for signing the petition. I hope you enjoy K.S. and come here often. Cheers!

And we support Abe by being annoyed at him.
Stay safe,
