Resurrection of the new York petition Empty Resurrection of the new York petition

Wed 7 Apr 2021 - 11:22
The New York petition has not died and gone to heaven. It has just been sleeping:-)

http://chng.it/PR8HsXZPLM

To achieve Equal Rights for Consanguinamous (CIAO) people, we will need to use appeals not just to executive, legislative and judicial power, but also attempt to improve social and cultural attitudes through education and awareness-raising by every legal means possible. But there is no magic formula for success. We must just keep trying and never give up until we get there. Signing petitions is just one way of taking meaningful action today. Thanks for signing! Stay safe!

CIAO!

Resurrection of the new York petition Empty New York Post Article

new-yorker-who-sued-to-marry-their-child-should-have-case-tossed-city/

https://nypost.com/2021/07/31/new-yorker-who-sued-to-marry-their-child-should-have-case-tossed-city/

"city lawyers also noted the unnamed parent “offers nothing to support that others with similar desires exist.”

It is a pity that 6000 people didn't sign the New York petition, or one like it to legalize CIAO marriage in New York. Something like that could have been cited as evidence that others with similar desires exist.

Well, of course the city is saying that. They’re defendants in the lawsuit.

Anyway, political support is irrelevant to the merits of the case, and the plaintiff should so argue. (The fact that the parent hasn’t even asked the adult child is more relevant.)

“PAACNP.” Great, another acronym.  Mad

Stay safe,

Consang is what most of us here use.

CIAO is what Abe uses.

PAACNP is what that lawyer used.

Any others? Rolling Eyes

Resurrection of the new York petition Empty Re: Resurrection of the new York petition

ACI Adult Consensual Incest was the only acronym I used in the NY petition. No New Yorkers appear to have signed the petition yet.( Nine New Yorkers signed the French petition ( one nice person signed it twice).

http://chng.it/PR8HsXZPLM

But I have been watching some CSI SVU TV shows and seen the trigger-happy cops in so many cop shows that I 'sort of get it.' ( the 'extra' paranoia folks might have about stepping out of line in USA). (The 360 degrees, 24/7 surveillance wouldn't help much either). Perhaps it is only a few old eccentrics, who don't give a fig about much anymore who might sign. Also, the LBGTQ community might feel disappointed now that legalization has taken away the 'excitement' and thrill of being 'out-laws.' Legalizing CCCA ( consanguinamory, Consang, CIAO, ACI) marriage might be a downer for all those CIAO people who enjoy being secretly 'naughty' and different from the rest of the herd. Anyway. Best wishes to all.

Resurrection of the new York petition Empty Re: Resurrection of the new York petition

Hi CT. have a question?

Comparing the NY petition with the NJ petition,
The NJ petition has 53 signers, 29 from the USA.
NJ 2
Missouri 2
OH 3
CA 3
TX 3
NY 5

10 states there were only one signer
2 unknown
One very nice New Yorker signed twice ( or as they say in TV ads, 'two times':-)

Unsurprisingly I am confused by the overwhelming lack of response to the NY petition. Could someone please explain?
If it is a case of the NY petition being badly written, ( which it is) why doesn't someone, (say from New York) tell me what needs to be done to improve it, or write a new ? If they are scared to put it up themselves, I will be happy to oblige.

Well, to be fair, these US petitions get close to zero publicity. You have to pay money to Change.org to get them to distribute the petitions, and I think I only paid them about $15 once to send the petition to a few hundred people. We got over 6000 signatures for that petition. If it was a petition for free beer for people who get the Covid vaccine, I am sure a lot more Aussie people would sign:-) Almost nobody in the US knows that ACI is legal in 40 countries, including nearly half of the EU countries.
Most of them don't know that Abraham and Sarah in the Bible were two of the most famous CIAO people on the planet, and quite a few famous Americans are named after them.

Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, People's Republic of China, Estonia, France,
Georgia, India, Israel, Italy ( if no scandal is caused) Ivory Coast, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kirghiz Republic, North Korea, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Jersey (US) North Macedonia,Pakistan, Portugal, Rhode Island ((US), Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Tajikistan, Thailand,Turkey,Turkmenistan Ukraine,Uzbekistan.

What are you doing to raise awareness about CIAO Rights?
I consider petition writing as one part of the dialectical process of awareness raising but perhaps you are doing something even more effective and efficient?

Well, I began with a comic explaining the topic 🤔.it seems it is effective due the inmediate response about it, a blogger fellow already made a traslation to spanish and the original source has lots of reblogging abd likes. Yesterady I was aboarded by a person who was motivated to research about consangs due my comic Smile . Not like if petitions are excesive, but we should procure to explain what we are supporting in a wider arrage of understandable ways so people can be willing to look for it and learn the rest for themselves Smile .

Good work Corny T! I won't knock your cartoons if you don't know my petitions:-) If we all work as hard as slaves together for the same goal, we may achieve much progress, even if we don't see our dream come true in our life times.

Can your cartoon be made into a Youtube video in the major languages? My petitions have been done in about 20 languages so. But only using Google translate. Someone is helping with an improved French petition at the moment.

Perhaps we could collaborate?
Jane Doe's site at Consanguinamory.com and FME at Fullmarriageequality have links to some of the petitions.
(The US petitions on Jane Doe's site are out of date as I was forced to re-do all of them as Change.org petitions). (Someone are Care2.org sabotaged me and attempted to de-platform me by making my earlier petitions inaccessible to me.)
Please remember some countries are more advanced and conscious in this area than others. Spain already allows ACI.
There is such a huge army of disinformation - spreading organisations out there, disinforming people 24/7 about ACI and CIAO people, we have a real battle ahead of us.
Hence we have to stick together and ignore our superficial differences, as in a United Front. If we split into different camps (from Zen meditators to radical activists, conservative handsitters, fire-spitting agitators) we'll be divided and lose. Let's be United and Win! :-) Best!

Well. I made the illustrations 🤔, if we get someone to narrate and someone to edit we could make the comic into a video lecture Smile

Morgan Freeman is expensive I believe. Oliver Stone is quite progressive, but i wonder, is he progressive enough? :-) Would you trust someone else to edit your movie? You would have to Direct.

Resurrection of the new York petition Empty Wow Five people signed the NY petition

Sat 6 Aug 2022 - 14:09
https://chng.it/TfpdNCsFNZ

I have to admit it, but I am a little more surprised than disappointed so few people signed. Of the five people who signed in the past five years, one was from Australia, (me, five years ago) another was from the UK, the last one, was from California, while another was from New York, and one from Oklahoma. (One a year:-) The New Jersey is doing much better, with 89 signees, but NY is still an enigma to me.

Meanwhile, 52 people have signed the California petition.

https://chng.it/zZhwr7qWCK

And 89 signed the Rhode Island petition

https://chng.it/qNWykyjSp9

Oh well, I'm thankful to those who've signed so far. Maybe I'll try harder to push the petitions later, when l'm older.

Hi CT. Hope you are well. Yesterday I heard someone on the radio talking about artificial intelligence in making audiobooks.
I forget the company they mentioned, but this one I found has many voices to choose from.

https://murf.ai/resources/create-a-magical-audiobook-experience-with-ai-voices/

I don't know how hard or expensive it is to use, but I thought I'd mention it.

Best wishes.
