New member - Age 43 - GSA

Glad to find this place.  I met my half brother (in his mid thirties) for the first time about 2 years ago (same father) and have completely fallen in love with him.  I’m his older brother.  I’ve never had feelings like this for anyone in my life.  We both have visited each other for a week at a time and it has been wonderful to have him as a brother.  I have struggled with increasing sexual feelings toward him and have told him before that I feel aroused whenever I hear from him.  He said not to worry, nothing would happen.  That’s just it though, I want something to happen.  I’m very confused about my feelings but I know now that they are normal and legit.  I wish I did not feel this way toward him but I do.  I would prefer just to have brotherly love.  However, it is so much more than that.  When he looks in my eyes, I completely melt.  I am a straight guy (although I have been sexually attracted to a man before but have never had sex with a guy), yet I want so much to make love to him.  I don’t mind the same sex attraction, just wish it weren’t toward my brother.  This seems taboo as it’s hard to find other stories between half brothers.  Is this rare between brothers?  It couldn’t be, despite there not being many other instances that I can find online.  This is just too real and I cannot be the only brother out there attracted to his bro.   Anyway, glad I found my way here.

I did want to say that there are other GSA brothers. It's only as rare as male-male sexual attraction is. It sounds like you're not strictly heterosexual. GSA tends to work along orientation. If your brother has no attraction to you or any other man than he's probably not feeling it. But if he does have an attraction, then there's always a possibility.

It does sound like you have some internal conflict, with no easy solutions in sight. There ARE other brother-brother couples, though, no worries about that. Hopefully we can offer you some solace. Peace for you too!
