I'm trying to understand

Hi all.

My fiancée and I try to be completely open and honest with each other (and I like it). Her first revelation was about polyamory. I've accepted it entirely. We both now have multiple partners (and I like it too).

But the second one was a bit shocking for me. She said she's in love and sexual relationships with her parents and siblings. When explaining this love's beauty, she used the word "consanguinamory".

I googled the word and found this place. I hope this community can help me understand and accept their way of family love.

I know the thing that "made it easy" for me to have my brother and sister as lovers was being told that when you love someone, that's when you should and can have sex with them. It also made sense that we grew up together; we knew each other like the backs of our own hands; we might not have been able to confide in others but we could talk to each other and... having sex with them was an outgrowth of the closeness we had with each other. Even though it's immoral and quite illegal in most places, well, bluntly, it's only illegal if you get caught and what you do behind your closed doors is no one's business and it's like my sister told me one day: "As long as you don't get me pregnant, I don't see what the problem is..." and her statement had made me realize that she was a girl... just like any other girl I was having sex with except for us being related - and then reading on how incent pregnancies can cause birth defects. I'd gotten myself grounded for two weeks for asking the pastor of my church, "Where did all the people come from if there was only Adam and Eve, then Cain and Able - but Cain slew Able? But at the beginning of Exodus, you see that Cain begot... someone I forgot and there was a lot of begetting going on but the bible never said where all the people came from."

I suspected incest was the reason why and, yeah, I got grounded and a stern lecture about not asking questions that I shouldn't know to ask. To me, being consanguine is just human nature; it explains why I'd hear so many parents say that they'd rather have their children - us - learn about sex at home than out on the street - and sometimes they really did learn about sex at home which, again, made sense because if you couldn't trust your family, who could you trust? I'm sure others might have their own take on this - but this is how I came to understand and see it.

Yes, she was over 18. And with her siblings - all of them were full of age when it started.

I would never write here about any illegal connections.
